Can't wait to have you over! - Joe and Cara Omiecinski | Remax Property Source We were not interested or looking for a place to buy – had a beautiful place on Rock River – both of us were 81 years old – had to have our yard and river bank work done, but were not ready to leave that place. Then, one day in October 2007, for no reason, we turned down a street we didn’t even know existed and a place hit us and the car just stopped! There was not a sign, so we inquired at a nearby office and Barb Erdmier very unexpectedly became our real estate lady. This was not her office, she just happened to be there and we thank the Lord that she was! The next morning, she got a key and we saw the inside. But, before going in, she handed us brochures of other places. She said, “You told me yesterday that you just happened on to this place by change and that you’ve never looked at any others. I feel you should look at other places just to compare.” We took the brochures, but never looked. As we walked through the place she very freely pointed out disadvantages and advantages. She did not want us to rush into something we’d possibly be sorry for later. The more we saw, the more we knew we wanted it, but we were very disheartened at times because the sellers were extremely hard to reach – messages were not answered, but she persisted. At times I would say she really bent over backwards for us. She never let up. At times, we were concerned that we may not get the place we wanted and we told her, “We want that condo, and not one of the others,” and she told us, “You will get that condo,” and eventually we did! It’s been over a year since we moved in and it’s happiness plus! We absolutely know she was meant to be in that office at that time and we were meant to drive down that street at that time.
